1. Introduction

  • 1.1 Agreement: These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the sale of tickets for the 15th Georg RAJKA-International Symposium on Atopic Dermatitis (ISAD), Melbourne 2025 (the "Symposium"), organized by the ISAD Society ("we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing a ticket, you ("Attendee," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms.
  • 1.2 Scope: These Terms apply to all ticket purchases made through our official website shop.isad.org and any other authorized ticketing platforms.

2. Ticket Purchase and Payment

  • 2.1 Ticket Types: We offer various ticket types. Each ticket type may have specific inclusions, benefits, and pricing, as detailed on the ticketing page.
  • 2.2 Pricing: All prices are stated in Switzerland and are inclusive/exclusive of applicable taxes (e.g., GST) as specified at the point of sale.
  • 2.3 Payment Methods: We accept payment via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Weixin. All payments are processed securely through Stripe gateway.
  • 2.4 Confirmation: Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email containing your ticket(s) and a receipt. It is your responsibility to ensure your email address is correct and to check your spam/junk folder.
  • 2.5 Accuracy of Information: You warrant that all information provided during the ticket purchase process is accurate and complete. Providing false information may result in the cancellation of your ticket without refund.

3. Refunds, Cancellations, and Transfers

  • 3.1 No Refunds (General): All ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds for tickets purchased, except in the specific circumstances outlined below.
  • 3.2 Symposium Cancellation by Organizer: In the unlikely event that the Symposium is canceled entirely by us, you will be entitled to a full refund of your ticket price. We will notify attendees via email and on our website.
  • 3.3 Symposium Postponement/Rescheduling by Organizer: If the Symposium is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket will automatically be valid for the new dates. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled dates, you may be eligible for a refund, at our sole discretion, and we will communicate the refund process.
  • 3.4 Speaker/Program Changes: While we strive to present the advertised program, speakers, topics, and session times are subject to change without notice. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund.
  • 3.5 Ticket Transfers:
    • Transferability: Tickets are generally transferable to another individual up to 15 days before the Symposium begins.
    • Process: To transfer a ticket, you must contact us with the original attendee's details and the new attendee's full name and email address. An administration fee of 50 euros may apply.
    • Deadline: No transfers will be permitted after October 12th, 2025.
  • 3.6 Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, natural disasters, strikes, power outages, or governmental regulations. In such events, refunds will be at our sole discretion.

4. Access and Participation

  • 4.1 Online Platform Access: For online components, you will be provided with instructions and access credentials for the Symposium's virtual platform prior to the event. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the necessary hardware, software, and internet connection to access the platform.
  • 4.2 Technical Support: Basic technical support for the online platform will be available during the Symposium. Details will be provided on the platform.
  • 4.3 Code of Conduct: All attendees are expected to adhere to our Code of Conduct which promotes a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment. Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in immediate removal from the Symposium without refund.
  • 4.4 Recording and Intellectual Property:
    • Recording by Attendees: Recording of Symposium sessions (audio or video) by attendees is strictly prohibited unless expressly permitted by us.
    • Our Recording: We may record Symposium sessions (audio and video) for future use, including promotional materials or on-demand content. By attending, you grant us permission to use your image and voice in such recordings without compensation.
    • Speaker Content: All content presented by speakers remains their intellectual property. Unauthorized distribution or reproduction of speaker materials is prohibited.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

  • 5.1 Data Collection: We collect personal information (e.g., name, email, organization) for the purpose of processing your ticket purchase, providing Symposium updates, and facilitating your participation.
  • 5.2 Data Sharing: Your data may be shared with our third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors, virtual platform providers) solely for the purpose of facilitating the Symposium. We will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • 6.1 No Warranty: We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Symposium's content, speakers, or the outcome of your participation.
  • 6.2 Indemnification: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ISAD Society, its directors, board members, members, officers, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or in connection with your participation in the Symposium or your breach of these Terms.
  • 6.3 Limitation of Damages: In no event shall our total liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or your participation in the Symposium exceed the total amount paid by you for your ticket. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

7. Miscellaneous

  • 7.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
  • 7.2 Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Symposium shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Switzerland.
  • 7.3 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
  • 7.4 Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us concerning your ticket purchase and participation in the Symposium, superseding all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
  • 7.5 Amendments: We reserve the right to amend thee Terms at any time by posting the revised Terms on our website. Your continued purchase of tickets or participation in the Symposium after such amendments constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
